Nr. 125 - MICKYMOUSIAN 2021, MAT

20 x 70 x 70 cm: vulcanised rubber

Micky Mouse thrones high above the Garden of Tyred Utopia’s (Cat. Nr. e23). It is a joy for children who visit the Museum. It is also meant as a symbol of consumerism, that thwarts all other utopias. Recent research by the Museum discovered that the three mickeymousian circles are also used to represent NON-sustainable development. The model of sustainability (see Cat. Nr. 122) uses three equally large and overlapping circles: one for the Economy, one for Society and one for the Environment. The Micky Mouse Model uses a large predominating circle for the Economy, with in its margin and disconnected smaller circles for Society and Environment
